Invited to join Fourteen year old Lizzie Edwards from Play Day! Play Day is a national annual event which is held to celebrate Play. Please come and join us on Sunday 10th August from 11-4pm at Stamford Park and join in the free fun activties. Record Breakers On The Run Record breaking pupils from one Dukinfield primary school donned their running shoes to take part in the largest simultaneous run or walk. Football Festival For Special Schools Pupils from Samuel Laycock school in Stalybridge organised a football festival for primary special schools. The Truth Is Youth! On June 12th pupils from across Tameside will come together to voice their views in Tameside’s first Youth Forum. Each school will carefully select two pupils to sit on the forum for the next year. The forum will allow pupils to say exactly what they think about sporting provision across Tameside and input into upcoming projects. Their opinions will then be fed into the Tameside Sport and Physical Activity Alliance, which represents a large network of partners involved in sport across the borough. Active 8 40 talented sporty pupils descended on East Cheshire Harriers athletics track last week to compete in the boroughs ‘Active8’ competition.
