Tameside SSP now
Tameside SSP in 2011-2013 will look similar to how we have always looked. We will have 2 hubsite schools hosting the 2 SSP's- Astley Sports College & New Charter Academy. Secondary schools will stay within an SSP, working with their cluster primaries. However it may be that some primary schools who are located close to another secondary school, may be invited to attend competitions delivered by another SSCo.
Additionally, in September 2011, Tameside SSP will become more of a service, offering schools who choose to buy in the membership (£500- enhanced package and £300 basic package) more opportunity to enhance their PE & school sport development, with 1 to 1 support for PLT's, free entry & resources for certain competitions, discounted and free teacher CPD & equipment offers.
All schools will still be offered networking opportunities and resources but these will be at an additional cost.
