Tameside “Coaches in Schools Scheme”
Since the scheme began in 1997 it has developed and evolved into the largest and most successful Coaches in Schools Schemes within the North of England.
Tameside sports Development now employs 44 full time sports coaches, twenty five work on the coaches in schools scheme and nine are sports specific working on behalf of Tameside sport specific development groups such as Cricket, Cycling, Football, Volleyball, Tennis, Rugby, Netball and Athletics

Community Provision
Tameside Sports Development also offer over 70 hours of community sports provision for young people and adults, details of sessions can be found at www.tameside.gov.uk/getactive
Tameside Volunteering Scheme
Tameside Sports Development hosts a comprehensive volunteer scheme giving people from 14 plus the chance to become qualified in the sport of their choice, this is underpinned by a placement in a school or community setting for further information please contact Shaun Higgins on 0161 367 1320 or e mail shaun.higgins@tameside.gov.uk
