INTENT: A 'select your pace' event to encourage physical activity & fun
AUDIENCE: Years 1-6 all children, we want to encourage whole classes
OTHER INFORMATION: This event is aimed at whole classes from schools who can walk to the park. At the event we will host 1 participation event and 1 competitive event. Children can choose which one they do based on how they feel about the track. In the participation event, we encourage children to make their own way round the 0.5k track. All participants will receive a certificate. At the competitive event, children will run a 1K route and 1st 2nd 3rd place will receive a medal.
TIMES:
Y1 & 2: 10-10.45am
Y3 & 4: 11-11.45am
Y5 & 6: 1-1.45pm
There are gaps so you can walk your class back and bring another.
Some schools use this event to track their pupils fitness throughout the year (2 more dates after this) or select cross country teams.
