Samuel Laycock ended the day as Runners Up at the annual tournament held at Warrington C.C.
Using skills developed in P.E. lessons and After school club, Laycock excelled in the field and showed decent overarm bowling technique as evidence of hard work done this term.
Playing against teams from Widnes,Crewe and Northwich, the players showed what basic skills teaching can produce;an exciting and enjoyable day of the simplified form of this great game.
Funded by 'Chance to shine' the tournament encourages participation in cricket.
