County competition

County competitions are the Greater Manchester events that are often either organised by Greatersport or the sports national governing body (such as the FA). 

Often, if the events we run in Tameside are School Games, they will lead into a pathway event in the County School Games or something organised collectively across Greater Manchester. 

At some events that we run, its the winning school who go onto represent the borough, and at some events, the schools that have shown the most School Games Values are selected. 

County competitions are very exciting as you compete against the other 9 boroughs of GM. The winning school will sometimes move on to a regional or national competition from this.
